Today I needed to call someone on my mobile very urgently and instead of hearing the regular ringing tone on the other end of the line, I am instead greeted by a friendly lady who tells me I have insufficient funds in my phone to make the call. "Great..." I thought to myself and in the middle of nowhere there is simply no place where I can buy a mobile recharge.
I have learned my lesson since then and now I always keep a directory where I can get mobile recharges from. The most convenient method is to recharge online. IT is fast, easy and convenient. It is also instantenous and won't require you to drive around hunting for a place that sells your mobile's recharge. There are a few sites that do this sort of service but it's important to note that you are not charged for this service. The top sites offer free online recharge so make sure you are never paying for 'additional fees'.
The company will use videocon d2h system to offer it's services to the customer. It is truly a wonderful way to get your recharge and spend less time having to seach for the recharges.

Looking forward to the New Year
Well, well. We have survived the whole Mayan Apocalypse of 21/12/2012. No surprise there right? There is simply no way an ancient civilization could have predicted something so big and without the aid of the modern technology we have now. IF we can't see Planet X hurtling towards Earth at certain peril, then how could THEY have predicted it all those centuries ago? Some people...
Anyways, big hurrah for mankind because we are still prospering, amid some bad apples and all and we are ready to welcome in the New Year! What is your new year resolution? Will you be keeping it or breaking it as many of us are guilty of doing so year after year.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

When they go to heaven
When people leave this Earth, and go to the next realm, they leave behind their earthly bodies which should be treated with the utmost respect and care. Burials are common in America and it is deemed to be the most respectful way to treat the dead. I have always stood against this and instead, I would prefer cremation.
'Cremation, is the use of high-temperature burning, vaporization, and oxidation to reduce dead animal bodies, including human ones, to basic chemical, such as gases and mineral fragments retaining the appearance of dry bone.Cremation may serve as a funeral or post-funeral rite that is an alternative to the interment of an intact body in a coffin or casket. Cremated remains, which do not constitute a health risk, may be buried or interred in memorial sites or cemeteries, or they may be legally retained by relatives and dispersed in various ways. Cremation is not an alternative to a funeral, but rather an alternative to burial or other forms of disposal.
In many countries, cremation is usually done in a crematorium, but other countries prefer different methods, such as open-air cremation in India and in Nepal.' -as defined by wikipedia.
Cremation is better in my opinion because the person's ashes can remain at home with all of his or her beloved family members. I would much prefer being at home than buried in the ground that is not close to home. Luckily there is such a thing known as a cremation society where they have cremation services that is respectable and easy to plan for. They have a wide range of services and you can get the majority of them at one of their biggest sites, San Antonio,Texas. Yes, people can get service cremation san antonio .
If you are not located there then you can also get service cremation phoenix, arizona. Choose the right plan for you and your family to ensure that everything is taken care of before you or any other person leaves this world.
Khoo Kongsi in Penang 2012 trip
A close friend of Dad's came over all the way from Alaska to visit us. We just had to introduce to him some of the attractions in Penang so we chose to visit the Khoo Kongsi. It was a beautiful place and it had many artifacts such as golden tablets of the Khoo family inside.
Before you can even think about entering this place, you would have to purchase a ticket that comes in the form of a sticker. That sticker must be stuck on your body at all times if not you risk the demonic guards catching you and hauling your butt out of there. Being the law abiding citizen that I am, I stuck the sticker where everyone can easily see it.
MY pass against an ass hauling from the guards.
Inside the place we saw a huge building that is owned by the current Khoo Kongsi family members who work there. The architecture of the building is absolutely beautiful as seen in the first picture above. Inside were many more beautiful artistic creations such as :
A wall painting featuring 18 Chinese Gods
An ancient stone carving 10 feet tall
or a cool British Barricade used in Penang a lot in 1856
It was an enjoyable experience and one that made me appreciate Penang even more. Needless to say we got many beautiful photos for keepsake. Such as this one below :
Till next time Khoo Kongsi!

'Tis the season for giving.
It's about 3 days before Christmas now and even though I do not celebrate Christmas, I still think about all those parents who are busy running around in malls ,trying to fulfill their kid's wish lists . It must be hard for them to rush around doing last minute Christmas shopping, only to have to hand the credit to 'Santa'.
So I searched around online for some gifts that would be great for my kid (when I have one) which would not cost a bomb or is too hard to find. Obviously present hunting is easier for young kids which is why one should start looking from this baby store which sells many cheap and useful products that kids can enjoy.
I am also one who believes that gifts need not be expensive ones before it is helpful or appreciated. That is why I advise parents to imagine yourself in a poorer financial position. Imagine if you were an average income earner in a less fortunate country such as parts of India. What would you buy your child then? Definitely not Nike shoes. A child does not have big desires in materials which is why a simple set of color pencils or markers such as one from staedlter india could be the greatest gift ever as your child can imagine their way in to a fantasy world as they draw and color.
Of course, besides color pencils, you could pick writing utensils which can attract a child's attention more as they use it. Any child would be proud to own a pencil with their favorite Disney character on it or a backpack with the smiling face of Disney's princesses on it. So do your child and your wallet a favor, just shop at disney instead for this Christmas and get them something that would really help them.

Writing, Love it or hate it
I have been rather successful at climbing the ranks at a new site I just joined on Dec 2012. It's a site that aims to to become the biggest directory for everything related to Malaysia and Singapore.
The site pays writers to write reviews and create listings of food places/ attractions / shopping ,etc location details are paid RM 1 and reviews written are another RM 1. Even though I have seemed to become great at writing listings at a very fast pace, (11 listings in 55 minutes is my current record), it still seems like hard work to me. Firstly I am pushing for 33 listings / reviews combined in a single day. that gets me RM 33 a day and RM 990 in a month, give or take. It takes me about 3 hours a day which can be very tiresome and I doubt I will have that much time to do so much when my job starts next month.
Secondly, I'm afraid (though very unlikely this would happen), that I would run out of things to list. The other writers are very competitive but thankfully they're based mostly in Singapore which leaves everything related to Malaysia under my care. The site rewards the top 5 writers at the end of the month with actual cash prices which gives everyone the incentive to strive harder. I'm currently at the number 1 spot with a relatively big distance ahead of the runner up. I'm quite confident I will win the SGD 100 prize money. :)
I have been successful at applying for writing jobs on another online work site called ELance. I have landed myself a new gig writing game reviews for a Singaporean based gaming website. I'm beginning to think that I love writing and wouldn't mind doing it for fun. Although I do sometimes wish I can start something major with my writing. Perhaps the saying "great things come from small beginnings" can apply to me?

Frustration
Is when you cannot please the people around you no matter what you do
Is when people cannot so the simplest thing you ask them to do
Is when you start saying things you dont mean
Is when you Feel you have given up hope but you cannot leave
Is when you feel constricted and weighted down by expectations
Is when you are misunderstood by people because of what others have said about you
Is,unfortunately,a natural part of life.
